Volunteers needed for educational vulval films

The Gynaecology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for volunteers to take part in a series of short training films on the vulva. The films will be aimed at health professionals (doctors and nurses), but also at patients, and they will aim to cover a number of important clinical aspects of care, including vulval self-examination, use of vaginal dilators (trainers) and vulval desensitisation. Volunteers do not need to have vulval pain or a vulval condition to take part in the films.

The films will include close examination of the volunteer's vulva only. If appropriate, we may film the use of vaginal dilators. There will be no vocal contribution by the volunteer.

Consent will need to be given, but the films will have no personally identifiable images or data. Please be aware, however, that it is likely that the films will sit on a non-secure website that will have public access.

Volunteers will have out-of-pocket expenses covered. Travelling expenses can be reimbursed within limits - if interested in volunteering, please ask about this. You will be required for around half a day for filming.
